At boot Düsseldorf miles are grinded on foot every day to get from one premiere to the next. Among the halls dedicated to powerboats, we saw the new wallypower50, the Riva El-Iseo, Ferretti Group's first full electric boat, but also the new Axopar 29, the Saxdor 400 GTO and the Windy 29 Huracan. In the sailing sector, on the other hand, we visited the new flagship of the Swedish shipyard Hallberg-Rassy, the HR-69, the Moody 48 DS, the Dufour 44, the Sun Odyssey 350 and the Sunbeam 29.1. Among the projects still under development there are great expectations for the Grand Soleil 60 LC and Blue, the ClubSwan 28 and 43, the Wauquiez 55, the Saffier 46 and the new X-Yachts racer for a big return to racing for the Danish shipyard. Despite challenging conditions- from the arrival of winter to strikes in Germany- boot Düsseldorf registered interesting figures: the 2024 edition closed with 214,000 visitors from 120 countries with a comprehensive offering of all water-based activities, from kitesurfing to megayachts, through charters to scuba diving to marinas, all packed into 17 pavilions. Compared to last year, the boat show increased both the percentage of professional visitors (from 18 percent to over 21 percent) and the internationality of its clients (from 23.7 to 34.3 percent). The appointment for the 2025 edition is already on the calendar from January 18 to 26.
